Town Administrator

Welcome to the Town of Lakewood Village, where effective governance and community service are at the heart of what we do. The Town Administrator is a public official appointed by the Town Council and, in Lakewood Village, also holds the statutory position of Town Secretary as required by Texas law. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the town operates efficiently and serves the needs of its residents.

“No other office in municipal service has so many contacts. It serves the mayor, the city council, the citizens, and all departments without exception. All of them call upon it, almost daily, for some service or information. Its work demands versatility, alertness, accuracy, and no end of patience. The public does not realize how many loose ends of city administration this office pulls together.”

Administrative Oversight: Oversees the legislative and administrative processes of local government and manages the day‑to‑day operations of the town to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Policy Implementation: Implements policies and directives adopted by the Town Council, ensuring decisions are carried out in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Community Relations: Serves in a non‑political, professional capacity as the primary liaison between the town government, other governmental agencies, and the community—addressing concerns, facilitating communication, and promoting civic engagement.

Strategic Planning: Plays a key role in long‑term planning and development initiatives aimed at enhancing quality of life for residents and supporting sustainable growth.

Election & Court Administration: Performs duties similar to those of the Secretary of State at the local level, including maintaining the integrity of municipal elections and supporting the town’s legislative processes. This office also oversees municipal court operations.
